Why Lemke Custom Tables?
The value of Lemke Woodworking's custom furniture is in the R&D and the longevity. The homework is done. The money spent is invested in proven designs, materials and high-level construction. Our tables have proven to both sit nice and hold up in heavy commercial applications. The tables do not tip over when loaded on one side. The table bases use an interlocking lap joint design for strength and a nice timber frame appearance. Wood and particularly cedar stays comfortable to sit on in the heat and cold. The final product is fastened with the strongest fasteners available on the market. The whole custom table design allows for some flex in order to sit well, even on somewhat uneven surfaces.
Lemke Woodworking began making custom tables after dismantling barns during the recession. At that time selling barnwood to keep the lights on. As passionate carpenters and entrepreneurs, selling wood without building a product, proved lacking. Staying true to a passion for craftsmanship, Lemke began the business of building custom tables, furniture and other related high-end projects.

THE "WIDE OPEN" INDUSTRIAL TABLE
The “wide open” is 35” on top, ideal for wide open spaces and maximum table surface.
- This model is well proportioned for 8' tables but also looks good in 6'
- .Allows for most object placement in the middle and give ample room for plates and drinks
THE "SPACE SAVER" INDUSTRIAL TABLE
The "Space Saver" has a 29" top it will allow for more tables in smaller areas and still not feel cramped
- Same characteristics as the wide model, just a little narrower
- This model looks great in 6' tables but can be built from 5' to 8' as well

- For the tops we usually use kiln dried incense or western red cedar, sometimes redwood,

- The gemoetry in the bases is the key to the tables.
- The interlocking lap joints give the tables the timber frame strength and beauty.
- We have custom router jigs built for the joinery, each base has 16 let in notches.

Finishing Process
- The tables are sanded top to bottom for appearance and alleviate the chance of splinters.
- Bases are coated with an aging tea that is a considered a lifetime preservative and gives a naturally aged look. They will patina more over time.
- The tops are sealed all sides with a neutral color stain, Custom colors available. Currently using Sansin products.
- The top-coat offered is a two coat process by Sansin and allows for easy wipe down characteristics and allow the colors in the wood to shine.
- The top-coat is designed to last 2-5 years between coats. Exposure to the elements and usage will vary this. When it is time to re-coat a light sand and re-apply is fairly easy, this product dries quickly.

CUSTOM WOODWORK ORDERS AND OTHER PRODUCTS
Lemke Woodworking has built conference tables, benches, Adirondack chairs, custom cutting boards and other knick-knacks, hutches, pergolas, trellis’ and more.
As time and availability allows we will sometimes make run of custom products we deem quality and resourceful, so check in often.
If you have a custom project or need, we would be glad to try and come up with a solution or custom prototype.
We own a construction company that installs other custom woodworking on site. We pre-fab timber framing, pergolas and trellis and are very creative.
OUR WARRANTY
We use kiln dried material and high grade it from there. We do this to try and avoid some of the things wood tends to do. Warp, check, shrink. We reinforce the tops with multiple supports from below. Some twisting, checking and warping is unavoidable but if there is a major fail, we will send replacement pieces. The design will allow for backing out the screws and installing a new component. Normal wear and tear should be honored as character.
